PASTURED PORK.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW.

Pigs by nature are foragers that roam the landscape for bugs, sticks, roots and whatever else their snout and stomach desires. "Pastured Pork" is the term used for pigs who are raised in a free-roaming environment on a pasture rather than being crammed in a cage. This makes for happier and much healthier hogs.

Pre-Made Paleo is dedicated to making pastured pork our standard!

HEALTH BENEFITS

Concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFO) is the standard in today's world. Thousands of animals are crammed together and shot up with huge doses of antibiotics as an attempt to help them survive these harsh and inhumane conditions. Run off from manure has been known to cause large outbreaks of E. Coli and other diseases. Pastured pork avoids all of this, providing you with much healthier and chemical-free pork.

GLOBAL ANIMAL PARTNERSHIP (GAP)
Global Animal Partnership, an international, nonprofit, charitable organization founded in 2008, brings together farmers and ranchers, animal welfare advocacy organizations, scientists, and retailers - a diverse group with the common commitment to continually improve the lives of farm animals. There are 5 steps to becoming GAP Certified:
  1. No crates, no crowding
  2. Enriched environment
  3. Enhanced outdoor access
  4. Pasture centered
  5. Animal centered
