During the summer months of July-August, many of our West Coast Ground shipments may receive styrofoam to help better regulate internal temperatures during these warmer months. Should you wish to Not receive any foam containers, you may either select Express shipping or indicate this in your "Notes" section prior to check out. Again, this applies only to four day transits, such as Arizona, California and Nevada when ground shipping specifically is selected.
All larger Foam containers used are recyclable and are free of all CFS.
Craft stores, Hobbyist, Fisherman, and many more have a need for these and recycle them well.
Some larger home improvement stores as well as certain pack and ship type stores will gladly reuse and recycle the Styrofoam containers, nationwide. Additionally, your local municipality likely recycles/reuses these containers. Call around or reach out to us directly for available local resources.
When required, we can happily issue a return label at a nominal $10 fee in where you might drop off any larger cooler + Box to any FedEx drop-off location, nationwide. Return and Recycle HERE
We are unable to accommodate requests for Substitutions for specific Ingredients**.
We are able to accommodate select Protein exclusions (such as 'No beef') upon request.
Your chefs strive to build comprehensive menus mainly centering on the proteins of Chicken, Turkey, Beef, and Pork. We Do Not include any fish or seafood along with any of our bundled Program meal plans, etc. These would not be received unless you order specifically from the Fish and Seafood collection.
In most all menus and plans, a No Pork variant is seen in the "Options" or "Title" drop-down. This options drop-down as a recurring theme throughout our website, and many variants may be seen under individual products, menus and plans.
If you do not eat pork or Beef, for example, you would select a No Pork option and simply place the request for "No Beef" in the "Notes to Pre-Made Paleo" seen during your cart summary. Any notes placed here will be transmitted if you proceed forward with your order (sometimes going "back" on your browser can delete the note and you would have to type it again).
If you have an Allergy to any standard Whole30® compliant ingredient, it might be recommended that you select from specific menus or specific Individual Meal Pairings that do not contain your undesired ingredients.
We do not use any gluten, grains, lactose, soy, legumes, or any refined sugars. Ingredients as such are not even allowed in our kitchens. If you have sensitivities/allergies to nuts, seeds, seed based spices or nightshades, it is highly recommended that you select from our AIP offerings.
**Certain accommodations might be made with up to a 10% substitution surcharge. All such requests should first be directed to our Customer Care Team: Hello@TrueFare.com. Simply placing "No Vinegar" or "No Mushrooms", for example, in your order notes will likely delay your order while a Guest Services member reaches you to confirm requests and applicable surcharges along with custom invoices.
We use all Latex-free gloves for food preparation and handling in an effort to accommodate any latex allergies!!
All current meals prepared by your chefs here at TrueFare are Whole30® approved! This is standard protocol for all meals prepared by your chefs. You need not look for the Whole30® logo or verbiage as might be seen under the Whole30® bundled Program Meal Plans. Even the Lunch/Dinner menus, AIP Menus, Keto-freindly and individual meals, etc., are all Whole30 approved.
There might be one or two snacks, that while crafted with Whole30® compliant ingredients, may not be Whole30® approved and considered a "no brakes" snack. Any snack as such on our website would typically labeled/indicated as "Not Whole30 approved".

Each week, we prepare a new menu of meals in our USDA inspected facility. All meals are made from scratch, vacuum-sealed in BPA-free packages, then are either sent out fresh or flash frozen. Most menus include a beef, pork, turkey, and two chicken entrées, all with composed organic vegetable side dishes. (See our suppliers) We also make a variety of á la carte items such as beef hamburgers, soups, stews, chilis, breakfast skillets, trail mix snacks and paleo bars. In partnership with nutrition experts, we feature menu plans that include special combinations of menu choices to meet more specific health needs.
All that needs to be done when you receive your meals is to thaw them, and reheat in a pan or dish. View reheating instructions here. Meals are made to be complete servings for one individual unless otherwise noted. Let us do the hard prep work so you can have more time to enjoy!
As many of our longtime guests know, we were previously known as Pre-Made Paleo.
It's True! True Fare is now on your table, with wonderful cuisine still crafted by Chefs Richard Bradford and Amy Crites. One of our biggest changes aside from rebranding of packaging and shipping materials are the awesome new blast chillers and other upgraded kitchen equipment to ensure consistent and qaulity cuisine delivered to your doorstep, nationwide.
We have simply rebranded to better reflect our vast offerings of Whole30® approved, AIP and Ketogenic meals.
As we believe in sustainability, you will notice that we are still utilizing some of our previous Pre-Made Paleo packaging and collateral, and you will notice a mix likely through the beginning of 2018.

Our Warrior option meals are between 450-600 Calories. We make a new menu each week and Nutritional Facts may often be seen in advance of your order placement.
Meals will typically arrive frozen, having been frozen from fresh by your chefs, and kept frozen during transit utilizing dry ice. Smaller orders or 5 Days of meals and less may arrive partially thawed (especially during the summer months), and this is absolutely OK.
While meals may be kept frozen for up to a year upon arrival, once meals are brought down to and left at refrigeration temperature (recommended reheating temperatyre), they should be utilized within 7 to 9 days.
When ordering 10, 20 & 30 day plans, it would be recommended that you only bring your weekly needs under refrigeration, keeping balance meals frozen until the following week.
We highly recommend that all meals are thawed under refirgeration prior to reheating. These are not "freezer meals", but genuine cuisine prepared by your chefs. The freezing is an ancient natural preservative. Please follow reheating directions accordingly.
Please be mindful that your chefs have already cooked most all of your meals to perfection. All you will need to do is reheat them to your own desired palatable temperature. (Reheating times may be tripled for Family Meal portions). Certain entrées, particularly ground beef proteins such as Grass-fed Burgers-are only seasoned and seared and are typically rare. These may require "cooking" time for your preferred internal temperature.
Stovetop Reheating- RECOMMENDED and EASY!
Let your Pre-Made Paleo meals thaw under refrigeration. Remove meals from the BPA-free plasatic and place your protein in a medium size frying pan with water or desired cooking oil/fat. Cover tightly with a lid to heat through for 3 minutes. Remove protein or add vegetable side to same pan. Reheat vegetables for 1-2 minutes to just heat through, and serve meal together. If sauce from entrée dehydrates during reheating, add a little water and continue reheating. Please note that you are merely reheating meals to your own desired palatable temperature.
CAUTION: In all instances, the product may be hot!!
Oven Reheating -
If this is your preference, you may remove meals from packaging, place into a baking pan and place in the oven at a temperature of 275 degrees. In most cases, this will require 8-12 minutes of reheating for proteins and 5-7 minutes for vegetables.Temperatures above 275 degrees run the risk of overcooking.
Yes. You can steam cook your meal quickly and easily with a microwave oven. It is recommended that you use a microwave safe dish. Most of our proteins will take about a 45 second heat up in the microwave. If they are not completely heated through, add an additional 15-20 seconds at a time. (*For best results, microwaving food is not recommended when you have other resources such as stove-top, oven or toaster oven available. Try using the 50-70% power level as well.)
Most meals may be reheated thoroughly in under a minute. Please be careful to not overcook any meals, particularly thinly sliced proteins. Often times, a damp paper towel placed over your entrée will provide a better reheating experience. Be careful to not Re-Cook your meals that are likely already cooked to perfection. You are simply intending to re-heat to your desired palatable temperature.
DIRECTIONS FOR COOKING FISH
Cooking directions for most fish entrées: (Always thaw your fish first)
- OVEN HEATING -
For a quick and easy clean up, place a piece of clean foil on a cookie sheet or sheet pan, followed by the fish. For fish selections with seasoning, use the desired amount of seasoning on the fish prior to placing it in the oven.
For fish selections with glaze, we recommend using about half of the glaze on the fish prior to placing it in the oven. This will leave some glaze to add after if you prefer.
Add or deduct seasoning or glaze according to your preference. Each fish is listed below with the corresponding cook time and temperature to be cooked.
Type of Fish Cooking Temperature Cooking Time
Orange Roughy 375° F 13 minutes
Salmon, Mahi & Sea Bass 425° F 8 minutes
Flounder, Halibut & Snapper 375° F 10-14 minutes
Grouper 400° F 10-15 minutes
Shrimp in Romesco Sauce- melt fat of choice in saute pan over medium heat, add shrimp and romesco sauce and cook for 2-4 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink in color
Scallops- Melt butter in saute pan over medium high heat, add scallops and cook for 3-5 minutes or until they turn white and flaky (optional to simply sear to desired wellness if preferred closer to rare)
Pompano - Heat 1-2 TBSP fat of choice in medium high saute pan
Sprinkle seasoning pack on the side of the fish that does not have skin. Place skin side down in pan and cover Cook for 6-8 minutes or until it gets flaky and turns opaque.
In the event that a package appears open and the seal is compromised, please note that the likely occurence of any compromised seal is typically done under the conditions of dry-ice contact at extreme temperatures (-79ºC/-109ºF) inside the cooler during tranist.
The dry-ice can produce micro-fractures/cracks along certain heat-seals during transit, particularly when items begin to shift as the sublimation of dry ice has allowed for room within the cooler after a day or two.
Though this is never an ideal circumstance, it can happen. Please let us know immediately if you have a concern, but please note:
As meals have maintained a safe and proper temperature throughout this entire process, and assuming that the customer had maintained proper temperature by not having left refrigerated for more than 7 to 10 days, any meals with a damaged seal are safe to eat.
Naturally, we would like to know about any and all such instances, in order that we may provide the best Customer Care experience possible. Please contact us at Hello@TrueFare.com or call us direct at 678-995-5772
We always ship meals with ample coolant to keep them at proper temperatures through transit and upon arrival.
Meals will typically arrive still frozen. In the event that some traditonal meals have begun to thaw (which is absolutely OK), it is simply recommended that those meals might be utilized first, particularly when some meals will require being maintained at freezer temperature for later use (outside of 7 days). Smaller orders or 5 Days of meals and less may arrive partially thawed (especially during the summer months), and this is absolutely OK.
Typically, as long as the temperature of the container and food is still at or below refrigeration temperature, your meals are just fine. They were never at a temperature above what they are upon receipt. Please be mindful that as even proteins are already cooked, they may be refrozen if needed.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding their integrity, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Wild-Caught Fish and seafood proteins come primarily from Pacific Seafoods (Not included in standard pre-cooked meals and plans.) Sourced from the cold waters of Alaska and the cleanest waters of the Pacific Ocean, however many fine sustainable species are caught in the Atlantic and Gulf Waters.
We at True Fare are proud to use only the finest , highest quality ingredients in preparing our meals. We prepare and package our meals with the highest standards of care and attention to detail.
We strive to build a comprehensive menus that will best suit a wide variety of personal tastes. Though refunds cannot be made on the basis of personal taste, we are happy to offer an accommodation for any meal(s) that arrives damaged or spoiled due to transit. Should your order have been lost in transit or arrived damaged due to courier realted reasons, we reserve the right to replace your order versus issue a refund.
Any request for a replacement of lost or damaged meal(s) must be made to us within 24 hours of delivery. Any items missing from order must be communicated to us within 24 hours of delivery. A damaged seal or package does not constitute sufficient reason to request a refund or replacement of all items received- ONLY the affected meal(s). Image(s) of damage to any meals received will be required.
Any orders claimed to not be received must be communicated to us within 24 hours of scheduled delivery date.
Orders are typically shipped with enough dry ice to keep the food at proper and safe tempeartures for the duration of scheduled transit time. Meals will typically arrive frozen, however, smaller orders of 5 days of meals (15 meals) and less may arrive partially thawed, especially during the Summer months. Meals arriving at or below refrigeration temperature are considered acceptable.
Please understand that a request to change delivery may result in extending the time in transit, therefore increasing the likelihood that the food arrives in an unsatisfactory condition.
You may not refuse any delivery and expect to be reimbursed or have meals replaced by True Fare, as perishables are non-returnable. We will not be held responsible for food lost under such circumstances.
While recurring subscription orders must be cancelled 7 days prior to renewal date, already generated orders are not refundable. We will strive to work with you on the best future delivery options.
